2020 GFL Calendar
The GFL Calendar included with your November/December utility bill only shows collection dates until the end of July of 2020, as our contract with GFL ends at that time. Once it is confirmed who will continue with garbage/recycling collection, a new calendar will be issued.

Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory - Rescinded
Water Security Agency in consultation with the Saskatchewan Health Authority has rescinded the Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory after the required samples from the distribution system have returned with acceptable results and the system has been flushed.
Town Foreman Employment Opportunity
This is a management and working position. Some on-call and after hours work is required. Successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the overall operations of the Public Works Department, including, but not limited to water/wastewater (septic system), infrastructure, municipal buildings, equipment, budget preparation, monthly report to Council and asset management. Professionalism, leadership and computer skills are required. Must possess a valid driver’s license, and provide a driver’s abstract. Effective communication skills and working as a team player are essential. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, possess organizational and time management skills, as well as interact with the public in a professional manner. Comply with OH&S legislation and practices.

Town Water Turned Off
Due to a water line break, the water supply has been turned off. Residents will be kept updated, on the website, during this situation.
Decreased Water Pressure
There will be a temporary decrease with the water pressure while a water line is being repaired.
Temporary Road Closure
Intersection of 2nd Avenue SE and 1st Street SE, and the north end of 3rd Avenue SE will be temporarily closed for the repair of a water line break during the afternoon of September 16, 2019. We apologize for the last minute notice.

Removal of vehicles and trailers
Mayor and Town Council are requiring residents to remove all recreational trailers, utility trailers boats and unused vehicles off the streets by October 20, 2019. Thank you!
Wood & Steel Bins
2 Wood and 2 Steel Bins will be available for Marshall residents to use on the weekend of September 14 and 15, 2019. Please take the opportunity to do some fall yard cleanup.

107 - 1st Avenue West north to 2nd Avenue West, east on 2nd Avenue West to 2nd Street West.
Main Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenue, east to 17 - 3rd Avenue East.
Please remove all vehicles off the street in order for road repairs to take place. If your vehicle is not removed, the Town will have it towed at the owner’s expense.
Barricades will be placed at these areas.
Please avoid these areas while workers are present.

An ‘Interest Survey” is posted at the Post Office (during Karla’s working hours) to see if Marshall residents would be interested in having the Wood and Steel bins again sometime after the September Long Weekend.
Road Closed
Main Street between Railway Avenue and 1st Avenue will be closed to all traffic on Sunday, August 25, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm for the Legacy Regional Summer Festival.
Outdoor ‘Business Sign’ Advertising
Advertising spots are now available for purchase. The signs are located at the west entrance into the Town of Marshall. The cost is $250.00/year, plus the cost to purchase the sign. Contractor Required
Contractor is required for occasional work to clean up residential/commercial lots or other sites in the Town of Marshall, SK.
Contractor would supply a truck/trailer capable of hauling miscellaneous articles including, but not limited to wooden, metal, yard waste, grass, leaves, tree branches and other articles deemed to be untidy or unsightly.
Contractor would also supply all personnel and tools (ie. rakes, shovels, mowers, etc) to complete any or all cleanup.
Any articles that are removed from any site would have to be disposed of at the appropriate waste management site and would not be deemed to be salvaged.
Any application from any contractor/person should state the cost/rates of any work done to completion.
The successful contractor would receive clear instructions as to what work would be required.
